The UP Sigma Alpha Nu Sorority Manila will be holding a FREE screening and roundtable discussion of the 2019 Lauren Greenfield film The Kingmaker, a documentary diving into the life and political career of Imelda Marcos seen through different perspectives, including her own. This film helps in countering misinformation and historical distortion on one of the crucial period in our history, the Martial Law era.
This event is organized with Active Vista, an organization that brings attention to stories of human rights struggles, and DAKILA, a non-profit organization that aims to fulfill its goals of awareness, education, and involvement. As the 2022 election draws closer, this opportunity will encourage a free exchange of ideas that will help voters further understand Philippine history.
